Pandit Devi Shankar Tiwari was born on October 28, 1903 and died on January 26, 1993.

He established the Lal Bahadur Shastri (LBS) college in Jaipur in 1963.

He was the first Minister of Education and health of Rajasthan from 1946-1949.

He was the Chairman of Rajasthan Public Service commission from 1949 to 1958.

He was the person who contributed immensely in starting the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Jaipur Kendra.in 1978 and served as the founder Chairman Of Bhavans Jaipur kendra from 1985 to 1990.
